The Women’s only Greenland Ski & Sail
A Femme Mountain Collective Journey into the Heart of Greenland
There are no roads to where we’re going. In the spring of 2027, a group of women will board a historic sailing vessel into the deep fjords of Greenland to embark on one of the most epic expeditions our planet has to offer. This isn’t just a ski trip, this is a full immersion into the arctic wilderness. We are trading lodge life for a floating basecamp, navigating ice choked fjords to access untouched lines that drop straight into the sea. The best part is we get to share this experience alongside a collective of likeminded women where there’s no ego, just pure stoke and support. It’s a space designed for you to push your technical limits and discover exactly what you’re capable of. This adventure has been carefully curated with the folks at expedition engineering who have been organizing adventures of this magnitude for over a decade. They have extensive experience in Greenland and work alongside the locals, from using their local boats and crew to their local expertise. This adventure is packed full of local culture and rugged untouched terrain. The very best part is we will be guided by a female ACMG ski guide from Canada who has years of experience guiding in Greenland and around the world, with the hopes of bringing along a second female guide for an entirely women led trip through the mountains of Greenland. (Please note the local captain & crew operating the vessel are male)
Meet your Host
Hey, I’m Alli! Just a girl from Canada trying to build the life and community of her dreams.
If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be curating custom ski and sail expeditions into the deep Arctic for women, I might have laughed, but deep down, I always knew the cold places of the world were calling me. Like so many of you, the mountains have been my playground, my home and now my office. But lately, my eyes have been fixed significantly further north. I am driven by a massive dream: to ski to the South Pole in Antarctica solo & unsupported. That big polar ambition requires rigorous training, a deep respect for frozen environments, and an unwavering commitment to stepping far outside my comfort zone.
So, why Greenland?
Greenland isn’t just a stepping stone or a training ground for my polar dreams, it is a landscape of absolute magic. It’s a place where massive alpine summits drop straight into deep blue fjords, where the silence is profound, and where the raw, untamed power of winter still holds absolute dominion. I am deeply drawn to the sheer isolation and magnificent beauty of West Greenland because it demands everything you have as a skier or snowboarder and rewards you with views and lines that will change your soul forever.
Building This Dream for Us
But as much as I love chasing these wild horizons solo, my true dream, the real heartbeat of why I do this, is bringing women along with me and creating the community I’ve always desired. For too long, high-consequence polar expeditions and the ski industry as a whole has been a heavily male-dominated space. I founded Femme Mountain Collective because I wanted to shatter that mold. My ultimate passion is to curate safe, supportive, and absolutely legendary spaces where qualified, badass women can step into their own power, challenge their limits, and experience the world’s most remote landscapes together. When we step onto our vessel in Greenland this April, we aren't just a group of skiers/ snowboarders on a trip. We are a tightly knit team of adventurers sharing a sauna after a massive sea to summit day, paddling kayaks through icebergs, and proving what women are truly capable of achieving in the backcountry. My polar dream is to reach the ends of the earth. My dream for us is that we conquer Greenland together. I hope you’ll be joining me for this truly once in a lifetime adventure.
Safety & Expert Oversight At Femme Mountain Collective, safety is our top priority and in the Arctic, safety is the foundation of our freedom. The guides on this expedition are far more than just ski guides, they are seasoned professionals with extensive training and specific experience in polar environments. Leading a Ski & Sail trip requires a unique intersection of maritime knowledge, glacier travel expertise, and high-latitude survival skills, qualifications that go far beyond your average backcountry tour. We operate with a high level of technical rigor, but we do so within a supportive, ego-free framework. At Femme Mountain Collective, we believe that safety is a shared conversation. This is a space where speaking up is not only encouraged but welcomed. Whether you’re feeling outside your comfort zone or want to engage in a discussion about snowpack stability and avalanche conditions, your voice is a valued part of our decision-making process. We don’t just keep you safe, we involve you in the "why" behind every mountain move we make.

Day 10
The Prime Season: April in Greenland
We’ve chosen April for its perfect balance of Arctic elements. The temperatures are starting to rise, day light is plentiful, the snowpack is more stable and there’s still the possibility to see the northern lights. The unique topography allows us to find cold powder on the northern faces and perfect spring corn on the southern slopes, all in the same day.
The Important Details:
-
Everything is taken care of from the moment you land. No logistics, just the wild Arctic.
This adventure is designed for total immersion. Your only job is to show up with your gear and a sense of wonder, the rest is handled for you.
• Arrival: You’ll be met at the airport by a local shuttle and whisked away to our hotel basecamp. That evening, we’ll gather for a Welcome Collective Dinner to meet the women you’ll be sharing the fjords with.
• Life on the Water: On Day 2, we board our private home, the Sersak. For the next seven nights, we’ll sail deep into the Greenland wilderness, chasing lines and dropping anchors in secluded fjords.
The Farewell: On our final day, we return to the hotel for one last night together to celebrate the journey before departures the following morning.
-
We believe in pushing boundaries within a supportive framework. You will need previous ski touring experience but you definitely do not need to be an expert or advanaced rider.
• The Terrain: Open to both skiers and splitboarders. You should feel confident in variable snow from deep powder to firm spring crust.
• The Physicality: You should be prepared for 8-hour days in the mountains, with the fitness to climb 1000m – 1500m daily. Rest days are always welcome too, if you’d prefer a day to yourself on the boat.
• The Support: We maintain a 1:6 guide-to-guest ratio. With two professional polar & ski guides on board, we have the flexibility to split the group. Whether you’re looking to hunt for steep couloirs or prefer a scenic, mellow glacier traverse, there is a place for you.
Technical Gear: Previous glacier travel experience isn't required, our guides provide expert safety oversight. You will just need to bring a harness and one locking carabiner.
-
Our basecamp is the Sersak, a masterfully designed local polar expedition yacht. Built to the highest ice-class standards, she will provide a true intimate and wild arctic voyage.
• Intimate & Sustainable: With only 12 guests on board, we leave a smaller footprint and enjoy a level of flexibility that larger ships can’t match.
• Arctic Comfort: After a day on the skin track, unwind in the onboard sauna, relax in the saloon, or explore the water in a kayak.
The Cabins: This will be a truly intimate experience as we will have 2 cabins made up of 4 bunk beds and 2 cabins with 2 bunk beds.
-
Expedition life requires high-quality fuel.
• Breakfast: A full daily buffet to prep you for the mountains.
• Lunch: Custom-packed trail lunches designed for long days on the snow.
Dinner: Hearty, chef-prepared meals served in the dining area, complete with desserts and local inspiration.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
At Femme Mountain Collective we strive to make our trips as inclusive as possible and foster an environment for growth but due to the remote nature of the arctic you will need some previous ski touring experience. You do not need to be a pro by any means but you should be a strong, confident backcountry skier or split boarder. If you can comfortably navigate red and black diamond runs in a resort in any condition (ice, slush, crust, powder or bumps) you should fit right in on this voyage. The most important thing is your fitness, being able to skin uphill for several hours a day is what will make the trip most enjoyable.
-
This is exactly why we have two guides. We aren’t here to race, we’re here to explore. We can split the group into “The Chargers” and “The Cruisers” so everyone gets the day they want. No one gets left behind, we just have different objectives.
-
At Femme Mountain Collective, we are built on the belief that the dynamic of an expedition changes when you remove the traditional "stiff" mountain culture and replace it with a collective of ambitious, supportive women.
• The Culture: We trade ego for "stoke." We’ve created a space where it’s safe to be at your technical limit, where asking a question is seen as a strength, and where we celebrate each other's wins as much as our own.
• The Empowerment: As a female-founded brand, my mission is to see more women in high-consequence environments. We don’t just "follow the guide”, we involve you in the mountain sense, the decision-making, and the adventure.
• The Community: You aren’t just booking a trip; you’re joining a global network of formidable women. The women you meet in the fjords of Greenland or the yurts of Kyrgyzstan become your lifelong adventure partners.
We aren't just here to ski, we're here to redefine what’s possible for women in the mountains.
-
You will need to fly into Nuuk, Greenland, the starting and ending point for our expedition. To reach Nuuk their are flights from Copenhagen, Denmark or Reykjavik, Iceland.
-
Due to the remote nature of Greenland, rental gear is not readily available and all guests will need their own, pre tested ski touring setup including, ski’s or split board as well as boots, skins, poles and replacement parts to fix any issues should they arise. All guests will also require avalanche backpacks carrying shovels and probes while always wearing their transceivers in the mountains. Since we will navigate on glaciers, harnesses along with locking carabiners are required. An extensive packing list will be supplied before the trip to ensure you have all the proper gear.
-
The Sersak is a heavy, stable expedition vessel, and we spend most of our time in the protected waters of the fjords, which are much calmer than the open ocean. However, if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend bringing your preferred remedy just in case.
-
Absolutely! I would love to answer any questions you may have or ease your concerns to ensure this is the adventure for you. Reach out to me by email at: femmemountainco@gmail.com & we can schedule a call at a time that works for us.
